Vinnies Christmas Appeal 2017
14th December, 2017 | by materialshandlingFor many families out there, Christmas is a happy and festive occasion.
The sad reality, however, is that 13.3% of Australians are living in poverty. Facing a number of challenges every day, most parents cannot provide for their kids. Of that percentage, 731 000 children may not experience a festive wish they so desire.
Helping to change these lives is the St Vincent de Paul Society and their amazing charitable venture, the ‘St Vinnies Christmas Appeal’.
As one of the many opportunities St Vinnies provides to help disadvantaged men and women, the Christmas Appeal really aids those less fortunate. At a time of great need for many households – especially families – parents try to give their children the best Christmas they can afford. When they cannot meet those expectations, St Vinnies is there to support them with the help and generosity of the public.
As Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, we are proud to support Greenslopes Private Hospital, once again, and make a solid contribution to this endeavour. To help make the load a little easier, Materials Handling contributed a number of bicycles (with helmets, of course) to young boys and girls, varying in ages from 2 to 10-years-old. We hope these gifts will be a great surprise for a number of children on Christmas morning.
Not only is supporting the Christmas Appeal a wonderful way to give, but it’s also a time to appreciate all that we have by thinking of our local communities and other families. We believe, one simple donation can give the opportunity for a better life.
We would like to extend the warm Christmas wishes and hope everyone has a festive and joyful holiday.

Wheel Stops
3rd March, 2017 | by excitemediaWheel Stops are designed to prevent damage caused by vehicles overshooting parking bays. These tough polyethylene wheel stops won’t fade, chip or rust. They are 1700 mm long and designed to catch the front wheels of the vehicle while still allowing free pedestrian access between parking bays. The low height of 100 mm ensures that vehicles with low clearance will not be damaged as they can be with some concrete wheel stops.
Suitable for use in factories and warehouses to prevent trolleys and forklifts from impacting walls or offices etc.

Jib Cranes – Aluminium MechRail

The jib is configured using MechRail aluminium crane profile to create a lightweight and easy to operate lifting solution. The MechRail profile has a considerably lower mass compared to steel crane profiles. The operator can quickly and safely slew the crane around the workspace without resistance. You move, MechRail moves with you – without effort. You stop, MechRail stops with you without attempting to drag away from the operator.
The enclosed crane profile keeps the track clean from dust and debris so load trolleys move seamlessly through the MechRail for an amazing result. The MechRail jib crane is an extremely versatile product. It can be supplied as a free-standing solution (typically fixed to a concrete slab) or as a wall-mounted solution to fix onto an existing building column or wall structure.

Jib Cranes – Articulated Ceiling Mounted

The knuckle joint design allows the jib to fold back on itself. The jib can be enclosed in a wall-mounted cabinet for professional and medical applications.

Jib Cranes – Articulated

Available in wall, column or ceiling mounted where the work area is a premium. Articulating Jibs can rotate up to 360° on the primary boom and 300° on the secondary boom. Capacities range from 50 to 500kg with spans of up to 4.8m.
This little task saver has low headroom and enables tools, vacuum tube lifters, balancers and hoists to be suspended and give absolute, infinite and effortless coverage over work stations and around obstructions.

Operating entirely pneumatically, this device is perfect in small areas and booths where the distance between the object and the wall is small. With the LIFT-MAN, you go up and so do your operations, improving productivity and increasing workplace safety.
This device is designed to assist operators in access to their workpieces inside a spray booth. The device is operated entirely from compressed air. Conveyor – Expandable and Flexible
3rd March, 2017 | by excitemediaExtendaflex conveyors are mobile, flexible, extendable conveyors that can be easily arranged for moving goods in warehouse and storage applications as well as loading or unloading vehicles or shipping containers. Available with a choice of plastic or steel skate wheels or plastic tube rollers, all models are designed to ensure self-tracking of the cargo.
All conveyors extend to a maximum length of 7500mm with height adjustable legs. The leg sets are fitted with swivel castors for mobility and alternating castors are fitted with a foot locking brake. Each conveyor can be fitted with an optional joining link to connect to another Extendaflex. This allows you to connect multiple units together and create whatever length you require! It is also possible to fit a carton stop to prevent the product from rolling off the end. This carton stop folds away when not needed or when using a joining link.
Choose skate wheels for products with a smooth base or conveyor rollers for products with an irregular base. The standard models are supplied with a zinc-plated finish with the option to supply in stainless steel construction. All skate wheels and conveyor rollers are 50mm in diameter.
Extendaflex conveyors are made in Australia and assembled to meet your order. For this reason, it is possible for us to create custom lengths and widths without impacting the supply time.
The loading capacity of 5 leg units is 150 kg per metre, the 7 leg units are 200 kg per metre and the 8 leg units are 250 kg per metre.

Conveyor – Expandable and Flexible

They are self-tracking, so the product stays on the conveyor bed following the twist and turn of the conveyor path without using engineered curves.
Adjustable in height via adjustable locking knobs to raise or lower conveyor height, they have heavy-duty square tubing legs for longer service life.
The aluminium alloy construction, wide ribbed design side plates provide added durability and the units are securely assembled with bolts and locknuts.
Structural steel channel supports span the entire conveyor width for unequalled strength.
The swivel castors roll easily, and the castor brakes lock wheels while the conveyor is in use.
