Drums Steel 205 Litre (44 gallon drum)
3rd March, 2017 | by excitemediaOur 205 litre steel drums (44 gallon drum) are available in either painted steel or stainless steel grades 304 and 316. Choose from:
- Closed head or open head, and;
- Without the lid or with a removable lid and locking ring.
The standard 44 gallon drum supply is white in colour however, black is also available pending stock availability.
Dangerous Goods (DG) approved drums are available on request. Closed head drums have 3/4″ (20mm) & 2″ (50mm) BSP outlets. The measurements of a standard drum are 580 mm in diameter and 875 mm high. The empty drum mass is 20 kg.

Drum Lifting Rotators – Adjustable

Completing any drum handling system, this device can be used on steel, plastic or fibre drums. The universal band easily adjusts to fit a variety of drum sizes. Another layer of protection is also added through an intelligent rim-locking feature, which prevents the drum from slipping while it’s being decanted.
Overhead and Adjustable Drum Rotators feature a Working Load Limit capacity of up to 350 kg. The drum rotator attaches with a ratchet and polyester strap. Its unique functionality and adjustment system suits almost any drum, allowing it to lift and rotate as required. The device is compatible with both overhead cranes and forklifts. Additionally and for zoned locations, a stainless steel model can be ATEX certified.

The Side Shift Drum De-Palletiser includes stainless-steel contact surfaces, as well as grit-blasted, double powder-coated mild steel components.
Access to the unit is via the front, so all pallets and bunds can be stored against a wall. The units two-speed hydraulics also ensures de-palletising is completed quickly and effectively.

It rotates the steel drums at approximately 44 rpm. With a smooth rolling action, this device effectively mixing the contents inside a drum.
The idler rollers are adjustable to accept smaller drums and the drum roller is fitted with an end safety roller. They are supplied with 0.37 kW motors in either single or three-phase supply. Optionally available in flameproof versions (Ex d IIB T4 IEC Ex CE II2G). Drum not included.

The Electric WIZ-KID drives itself around the drum chime, cutting and folding the metal toward the chime, leaving a safe, smooth, burr-free edge on the drum. It is the right choice for moderate to low drum volume. It de-heads most drums in less than two minutes.
The Manual WIZ-KID is designed for use in remote areas, where no power source is available, or where drum volume is low and a manual tool is preferred. It employs the same patented cutting principles as the Electric WIZ-KID, leaving the safe edge however, it is driven by a manual ratchet action requiring only minimal user effort.
