2052 Manual Roll Turners Schlumpf read more

Our Manual Roll Turners are used to lift and then rotate rolls from vertical to horizontal positions. The expanding mandrel grips the rolls by the core with secure expanding segments. Rotation between core vertical to core horizontal is effortless. The operator releases a latch and the roll is manually rotated in the same axis of centre of gravity.

The strength of these systems is in their quick-change mandrel that allows the operator to change mandrel size without tools. Perfect for handling rolls with a variety of different core diameter or different core materials (plastic, cardboard etc).

The Manual Roll Turners allow safe and problem free lifting and rotating of reels by a single person. Reduce risks of worker injury and increase workplace safety with this ergonomic and efficient solution. Our roll lifters are highly versatile and can be suspended from existing lifting equipment or a new lifting solution provided by us!

  • Roll Lifting and Turning – Telescoping Reels

    3rd March, 2017 | by
2051 Reel Roll Lifter Turner Handling read more

Our Reel Lifter and Turner is used to lift and then rotate heavy rolls. The unique function of this device prevents the material from telescoping (unwinding) off the core when being handled.

The LRWK reel handling unit is used for lifting rolls with materials that will telescope if lifted by the core alone. It grips the reel between the mandrel in the core and a gripper on the outside face of the reel. This pressure is sufficient to prevent the material from unwinding.

The advantage of this device is a quick-change system easily changes to a different mandrel size without tools.

Vertical Roll Lifters VRL 2200 read more

Heavy rolls and reels need to be handled with care. Our Vertical Roll Lifters has you covered, to confidently handle materials safely and easily. The VRL (Vertical Roll Lifters) range transports rolls by their core in a vertical position and have been designed for suspension from overhead cranes or hoists.

Vertical Roll Lifters are typically used in the pharmaceutical, food and packaging industries where quality, efficiency and utmost safety are the standard. They afford problem free lifting of reels with easy operation by a single person. There is no loss of material due to damage, even with sensitive goods.

These devices are used to move rolls to pallets, work tables, trolleys and carts. The mandrel is inserted into the Lifters core and the expanding segments grip the item with a strong, spring-loaded safety mechanism. The mandrel grip/release function is by release lever. It is not possible to release the load while it is suspended.

A number of models are available with varying lifting capacities and functionalities.

  • Vinnies Christmas Appeal 2017

For many families out there, Christmas is a happy and festive occasion.

The sad reality, however, is that 13.3% of Australians are living in poverty.  Facing a number of challenges every day, most parents cannot provide for their kids.  Of that percentage, 731 000 children may not experience a festive wish they so desire.

Helping to change these lives is the St Vincent de Paul Society and their amazing charitable venture, the ‘St Vinnies Christmas Appeal’.

As one of the many opportunities St Vinnies provides to help disadvantaged men and women, the Christmas Appeal really aids those less fortunate. At a time of great need for many households – especially families – parents try to give their children the best Christmas they can afford.  When they cannot meet those expectations, St Vinnies is there to support them with the help and generosity of the public.

As Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, we are proud to support Greenslopes Private Hospital, once again, and make a solid contribution to this endeavour. To help make the load a little easier, Materials Handling contributed a number of bicycles (with helmets, of course) to young boys and girls, varying in ages from 2 to 10-years-old.   We hope these gifts will be a great surprise for a number of children on Christmas morning.

Not only is supporting the Christmas Appeal a wonderful way to give, but it’s also a time to appreciate all that we have by thinking of our local communities and other families.  We believe, one simple donation can give the opportunity for a better life.

We would like to extend the warm Christmas wishes and hope everyone has a festive and joyful holiday.

The St Vincent de Paul Society is always seeking volunteers and motivated individuals who would like to help their community.  To get involved, please visit the organisation at https://www.vinnies.org.au/page/Get_Involved/ . Alternatively, if you would like to donate to the Christmas Appeal, please call 13 18 12 or visit https://donate.vinnies.org.au/donation-hub-christmas-appeal.

    Fittings are ordered separately.
These wheel stops comply with the Australian Standard AS 2890.1:2004 (Parking Facilities).
