Roll Lifting and Turning Trolley
3rd March, 2017 | by excitemediaOur Reel Lifter and Turner is a portable reel/roll lifter and turning device with a capacity of up to 250 kg.
The roll turner tooling can move rolls from ‘core vertical’ position to ‘core horizontal’ position. The tooling is fixed to the carrier of our Multilift trolley. The tooling grips the roll from the inside of the core using a prong with an expanding mechanism. The prong (mandrel) is suitable for a 75mm internal diameter. We can provide a solution for different core ID sizes with a unique quick-change mandrel system.
The standard machine is stainless teel finish with a battery electric lifting mechanism.
No two solutions are identical. We have many variations of this device. We can provide the solution for your particular application.

Roll Lifting and Turning – Telescoping Reels
3rd March, 2017 | by excitemediaOur Reel Lifter and Turner is used to lift and then rotate heavy rolls. The unique function of this device prevents the material from telescoping (unwinding) off the core when being handled.
The LRWK reel handling unit is used for lifting rolls with materials that will telescope if lifted by the core alone. It grips the reel between the mandrel in the core and a gripper on the outside face of the reel. This pressure is sufficient to prevent the material from unwinding.
The advantage of this device is a quick-change system easily changes to a different mandrel size without tools.

Vinnies Christmas Appeal 2017
14th December, 2017 | by materialshandlingFor many families out there, Christmas is a happy and festive occasion.
The sad reality, however, is that 13.3% of Australians are living in poverty. Facing a number of challenges every day, most parents cannot provide for their kids. Of that percentage, 731 000 children may not experience a festive wish they so desire.
Helping to change these lives is the St Vincent de Paul Society and their amazing charitable venture, the ‘St Vinnies Christmas Appeal’.
As one of the many opportunities St Vinnies provides to help disadvantaged men and women, the Christmas Appeal really aids those less fortunate. At a time of great need for many households – especially families – parents try to give their children the best Christmas they can afford. When they cannot meet those expectations, St Vinnies is there to support them with the help and generosity of the public.
As Christmas is a time for giving and sharing, we are proud to support Greenslopes Private Hospital, once again, and make a solid contribution to this endeavour. To help make the load a little easier, Materials Handling contributed a number of bicycles (with helmets, of course) to young boys and girls, varying in ages from 2 to 10-years-old. We hope these gifts will be a great surprise for a number of children on Christmas morning.
Not only is supporting the Christmas Appeal a wonderful way to give, but it’s also a time to appreciate all that we have by thinking of our local communities and other families. We believe, one simple donation can give the opportunity for a better life.
We would like to extend the warm Christmas wishes and hope everyone has a festive and joyful holiday.
The St Vincent de Paul Society is always seeking volunteers and motivated individuals who would like to help their community.
