An operator requires minimal effort, as the drum is fully controlled by the forklift during its operation. A robustly-constructed device, our Forklift Drum Rotators feature large ‘worm-drive’ gearboxes, which provide automatic braking during rotation. If a worker stops using, turning the handle or pulling the hand chain, the drum will lock into position. This unique mechanism prevents dangerous and uncontrolled movements, unlike other cheaper drum rotators, which are known to put users at risk.
The drum rotators are available in two models:
- Model DDRNH – (with handle) is suitable for drum rotation when raised up to chest height. The rotation is carried out via a fitted hand wheel.
- Model DDRNC – (with chain) is suitable for drum rotation up to 3 metres above ground. The rotation is carried out using a hand chain – similar to a roller door mechanism.

Drum Lifting Rotators
3rd March, 2017 | by excitemediaThese Drum Rotators are designed to lift and rotate 205 litre steel drums through 360 degrees using either overhead crane or forklift. Rotation of the drum is fully controlled throughout the operation. There are 2 versions: the 400kg DBR and the 1000kg DCDR.
Minimum effort is required for rotation and importantly the use of a large worm drive gearbox provides automatic braking of the drum during rotation – if the operator stops turning the handle or pulling the hand chain the drum will lock in position preventing dangerous and uncontrolled drum movement as seen on cheap devices.
The large size of the gearbox also greatly improves the life of the attachment reducing gearbox failure. The drum is secured into the Drum Dumper attachment with the sturdy belly strap and locked with the over-centre catch. A locking pin is inserted to prevent the accidental release of the catch during the tipping cycle.

Lifting Clamp Multi-Position

Each lifting clamp is fitted with a safety spring mechanism for permanent contact of the cam onto the piece to be lifted, even when it is being put down.
The locking lever does not stick out so that the clamp may be used on the bare ground. The chain enables the lifting clamp to grip from any angle and makes positioning easier.
The chain connection enables the load to be lifted and tilted. The workpiece can be gripped from the side and lifted to tip them over.
The corrugated cam marks only one side of the load.
