Winches specifically certified for lifting personnel that are also suitable for lifting cargo and materials.
It is a personnel winch that may also be used for load lifting.
Each winch has protection from the cable winding in the wrong direction, preventing it from possible free fall.
Available with galvanised steel cable or stainless steel cable in a variety of different lengths. The crank handle can be easily removed and the winch has a carry handle for easy transportation.
Suitable for use in a wide range of confined space, fall protection, and rescue.
Compatible with our portable aluminium gantry and davit range: Porta-Gantry and Porta-Davit
Additional Information
- Primary brake features a visual brake wear indicator that allows simple verification
- Secondary safety brake is an integrated backup that provides failsafe protection
- Supplied with a double-action swivel hook featuring a fall arrest indicator for inspection after an incident
- Simple operation via the manual crank handle (removable)
- Optional power drive accessories available
- Lightweight and portable – carry bag available for purchase
Applications involving repeated positioning activities or long vertical entries can benefit from a powered winch rather than relying on manual cranking.
These winches are designed with a unique input drive hub that allows for switching between manual crank and powered operation. The manual operation remains as a backup in the event of power failure or mechanical problems.
Depending on the nature of the application, the regulations governing the use of powered winches to raise and lower equipment in various jurisdictions, and the type and specifications of power drills available, there are several configurations of Power Drive accessories that may be appropriate (see accessories).
