Kromer Spring Balancers support heavy hand-operated process tools by balancing them at an optimum working level. As an anti-gravity device, they enable an operator to perform tasks with minimal effort. When not in use, the balancer automatically retracts moving tools out of the way for convenience and efficiency. This action allows the tool to return to its initial position ready for the next use.
Also known as a Retractor or Zero Gravity Balancer, Spring Balancers are commonly used in environments where actions are repetitive. They are equipped to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which often occur due to reoccurring lifting and handling tasks. Such devices help minimise operator fatigue and encourage smooth work processes.
All Spring Balancers have been life-tested to meet relevant legislation.

Our Kromer Spring Balancers provide a perfect overhead lifting and materials handling solution. Each device automatically retracts a tool to its initial position after use and upon release.
Some models have been fitted with an automatic arresting mechanism (ratchet lock).
