Cross-SAFE Gate Kits provide a complete package to provide all of the components needed for a safer pedestrian crossing. All that is required is to know what size gate, or what maximum width you have available, then choose the kit that best suits your needs.

Pedestrians in any workplace can be provided with a safe and controlled method to cross where vehicles are also in operation. Using an inward opening gate (except for kit 4) the pedestrian is forced to take a step backwards, which assists in awareness of their crossing. The kits available can provide a visual warning to vehicles by activating a yellow flashing light whenever the gate is opened, through to a fully controlled crossing that when a sensor has detected a vehicle, the gate is magnetically locked, and the pedestrian is prohibited from crossing.

Cross-SAFE Kits:

Single Kits come with one Gate, one Control Post, and one Rail Post.

Dual Kits come with two Gates, two Control Posts, and two Rail Posts.

Gate Kit 1

Provides a simple crossing point for pedestrians where they are required to open the gate inwards, forcing them to take a step back, and encouraging them to look for any oncoming vehicle traffic.

Kit includes: Control posts, rail posts, gates (required size), self-closing hinges, nuts & bolts.

Gate Kit 2

When the pedestrian opens the gate, the yellow LED strobe lights flash for a pre-set amount of time (adjustable from 1-60 seconds), providing a warning to vehicles that a pedestrian is crossing at a designated point.

Kit includes: As per Gate Kit 1 plus, Cross-SAFE timer controller, yellow LED strobe lights, light poles and warning Signs.

Gate Kit 3

When a vehicle is detected in the area of the gates by the Radar Sensors, the red LED lights flash and the gates are magnetically locked to prohibit pedestrians entering the crossing area.  This kit also provides the same yellow LED strobe light warning as Gate Kit 2 when a pedestrian is crossing.

Kit includes: As per Gate Kit 1 plus, Cross-SAFE timer controller, yellow LED strobe lights, red LED strobe lights, light poles, warning signs, radar sensors, radar sensor mount poles and magnetic interlock kits.

Gate Kit 4

When a pedestrian wants to cross, they press the button to “Activate Crossing”.  If no vehicles are detected, the yellow LED lights flash, the gates automatically open outwards blocking vehicular access.  When a vehicle is detected in the area by the Radar Sensors, the red LED lights flash and pedestrians are prohibited from entering.

Kit includes: As per Gate Kit 1 plus, controller box, yellow LED strobe lights, red LED strobe lights, light poles, warning signs, radar sensors, radar sensor mount poles, auto actuator kits.

The LED flashing forklift signs, FFS, are an optional extra for any of the above Cross SAFE kits.
