This unit is a modification of our Crane/Forklift Mounted Handler for vertical & horizontal sandwich building panels to allow it to handle plate glass.
This unit is multifunctional with an ability to be used with either a crane or fitted to a fork carriage for forklift mounting. It can pick up plate glass panels for both horizontal and vertical placement.

• Power supply: 24v on board rechargeable battery system. Charger not integrated
• Load capacity as a crane attachment: up to 800kg, depending on number of cups.
• Load capacity as a forklift add-on: up to 400kg, depending on number of cups.
• Operation: directly at the machine / cable remote control
• Dead weight for crane use: app. 210kg, depending on number of cups.
• Dead weight for forklift truck use: app. 380kg, depending on number of cups.
• Dual safety system - 2 independent vacuum circuits
• Each vacuum circuit has a safety factor of 2 and integrated vacuum reservoir
• Two integrated vacuum meters (1 per circuit) and one charge meter
• Visual and acoustic warning facilities signals deviation of the set condition
• Integrated hydraulic system for tilting and for lateral fine positioning (only for fork lift truck / variable reach lift truck use) of the load.
• Safety and security is ensured via a key lockable switch
The OKTOPUS® GLE has to be used only in connection with a crane/fork lift truck/variable reach lift truck having an AS mark and a sufficient load capacity (see operating manual). It conforms to AS4992 - 2004 section 5 & fulfils the European DIN EN 13155 standard
