Medium Duty Institutional - hospitals, retailers, laboratories ‘M’ Series

 

Primarily designed for institutional use (hospitals, laboratories, etc.), the 'M' series is also proving to be a popular performer in lighter industry as well. As factories, distribution centres and the like become more reliant on hi-tech equipment to survive, the need for a better looking functional castor has arisen. The 'M' series is ideal for all those lighter applications that involve human movement of materials. Retail outlets and clothing producers are prime examples. Brakes for display stands, threadguards for loose lint and threads, directional locks for travel between departments. Tyres that will not damage floors and a multitude of fittings will ensure this castor will continue to dominate the market.All wheels use an 8mm axle. Plain bearing wheels use a 12mm axle bush reducing to 8mm.

 

Choosing the right castor
• firstly select the wheel code, eg AMTQ125G
• then the castor frame from one of the next five columns, eg AMTQ125G/MZP
• brake or directional lock? Select TB or DL from final columns, eg AMTQ125G/MZPTB

Forks

This is the fork which has for many years been widely used in hospitals, institutions, cafeterias, laboratories, etc. The special zinc plated finish has a good appearance on chromed and stainless steel trolleys, and has good rust resistance in normal use. The fork revolves around two complete rows of balls for maximum ease of swivelling. The most commonly used fitting is the expanding tubular stem (E stem - expanding adaptors). For normal use, this consists of glass filled nylon mouldings which are tightly locked on the inside of a tube simply by screwing up the stem by its nut. Other mountings are Tubular Stem (rubber adaptors), Plate, Bolt Hole and Solid Stem. Total Brake or Directional Lock can also be fitted.
